Grant S. Thompson

Grant S. Thompson received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1992), a J.D. from Columbia Law School (1998), and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law (2006). After receiving his J.D., he served as a judicial law clerk in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He then practiced law with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP (New York), where he focused on corporate transactions, and later at Finn Dixon & Herling LLP (Stamford, Connecticut) and Farella, Braun & Martel LLP (San Francisco), where he focused on tax issues. Most recently, he was a lead attorney in the Appeals Division of the Board of Equalization and the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration. He has over 15 years of experience in tax law.
