Theria Martin – Chief Deputy Director

Theria Martin is the Office of Tax Appeals Chief Deputy Director. She previously served as The Franchise Tax Board’s Director of Filing Compliance where she was responsible for overseeing tax compliance administration for personal income tax and corporation tax, worth more than $3 Billion in revenue annually to the State of California.

During her 30 year career in state government, she has held multiple executive leadership positions in the areas of tax program development and administration, policy development, as well as information technology. She brings many years of specialized management experience in organizational development, communications, risk mitigation, employee and supervisory training, leadership development, and Equal Employment Opportunity.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento.
