Julissa de Gonzalez –  Chief Deputy Director

Julissa de Gonzalez was appointed Chief Deputy Director for the Office of Tax Appeals in May 2026. She was previously appointed Deputy Director of Legislation and External Affairs for the Office of Tax Appeals by Governor Newsom in September 2022.  Prior to this appointment, she served as Director of Legislation and Policy at the Department of Pesticide Regulation. Julissa graduated from the University of California, Davis Graduate School of Management with an MBA. She also obtained a BA in Political Science with minors in Latin American and Hemispheric Studies, and Chicana/o Studies from UC Davis.
