Sheriene Anne Ridenour

Sheriene Anne Ridenour received her Bachelor of Science degree in Toxicology, with a minor in History, from UC Davis (2002).  She received both her J.D. (2007), and her L.L.M. in Taxation (2008), from Golden Gate University School of Law, having graduated with honors.  Ms. Ridenour was admitted to the California Bar in 2007. 

Ms. Ridenour served as a law clerk for the Hon. John Porter, as well as for the Hon. Marshall Whitley, both having served on the Alameda County Superior Court.  She also practiced in the private sector advocating for clients from diverse economic backgrounds that required representation on an array of tax issues.  In 2010, Ms. Ridenour joined the Appeals Division of the California Board of Equalization (now the California Dept. of Tax and Fee Administration), where she was the only attorney to hold conferences and write decisions in Sales and Use Tax, Local Tax, as well as Franchise and Income Tax matters.  She remained with the Appeals Division until transferring to the Office of Tax Appeals in January 2018.  At the Office of Tax Appeals, Ms. Ridenour was a Tax Counsel IV (lead) attorney in the Foundations Division, before joining the Hearings Division.
