Suzanne Brown

Suzanne Brown received a Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Davis and received her Juris Doctor from UC Davis School of Law.  She was admitted to the California bar in 1995 and began her career as an attorney at a small law firm where she practiced education law, family law, and civil litigation.  Thereafter, she conducted administrative hearings as a hearing officer for the Special Education Hearing Office at McGeorge School of Law’s Institute for Administrative Justice, and subsequently as an administrative law judge in the Special Education Division of the Office of Administrative Hearings.  In 2009, she joined the Legal Department of the Board of Equalization (now the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration), where she remained until joining the Office of Tax Appeals in 2019.
